On Thursday, May 9, Hanro of Switzerland invited me to personalize Mother’s Day gift tags at their beautiful shop-in-shop at Bloomingdale’s. Most requests were for messages such as, “I love you Mom,” or “Thank you, Mom, for all you do.” But my favorite request was from a woman named Elyse, who asked that I pen a message to her, from her. She asked me to write, “Elyse is a great mom.” She attached the tag to her messenger bag and said she couldn’t wait to flaunt the message to her kids. I loved her spirit and her desire to celebrate herself. I think we can all take a lesson from Elyse and compliment ourselves for how well we do our jobs. xR
